What is colour therapy:

Colour therapy, also known as chromotherapy, is often facilitated in the healing rooms of alternative health practitioners. Colour therapy is classified as a vibrational healing modality. Vibrational medicine incorporates the use of chi energies within living organisms such as plants, gemstones and crystals, water, sunlight, and sound.

Colour is simply a form of visible light, of electromagnetic energy. All the primary colours reflected in the rainbow carry their own unique healing properties. The sun alone is a wonderful healer! Just imagine what life would be like without sunshine. It has been proven that lack of sunlight contributes to depression for some humans.

A therapist trained in colour therapy applies light and colour in the form of tools, visualization, or verbal suggestion to balance energy in the areas of the human physical body that is lacking vibrance, be it physical, feeling, spiritual, or mental.

History of colour therapy:

The history of colour healing has its roots in ancient Egypt. Some Internet references indicate that colour therapy has a connection with the perceived ancient civilizations of Atlantis, Lemuria, Mu, and Alatia.

The Colours You Choose To Wear Are Capable of Reflecting Your Feeling State:
Have you taken inventory of your closet lately? You may be in a fashion rut and require to introduce some new articles of clothing into your wardrobe with different colours that will best expose your mood swings. Wearing the perceived wrong colour is capable of causing to you “feel” out of sorts with yourself.

Everything moves, from atoms to planets millions of light years away. Electrons move around the nucleus of an atom. Planets revolve around their suns. Everything moves and therefore everything vibrates.

Where there is vibration, there is sound.

Every part of your physical body vibrates at a specific sound frequency. Each of the accepted seven Chakras has a specific sound associated with it. Colours also vibrate at a specific frequency. And each Chakra has a colour associated with it.

That is why the use of colour and sound is capable of returning balance to your basic 7 Chakras and assisting to restore physical health.
